Questions about joining the community
Find out how events, membership and sharing work across Financial Network Zurich and Zürich Spontaneous Meetup.
What is Financial Network Zurich?
Financial Network Zurich (FNZ) is a Zürich community for people interested in investing, trading, startups and practical AI. Its events bring people together to exchange experience, ask questions and build connections. Check the individual listing for the format and admission details.
What is Zürich Spontaneous Meetup?
Zürich Spontaneous Meetup (ZSM) is the social community on the same platform, for meeting new people and sharing activities in and around Zürich. Confirmed plans appear in the event calendar. FNZ and ZSM have separate community spaces under one platform account.
How do I join, and does an account cost anything?
Creating a platform account is free. Sign in using an email link or LinkedIn. You can browse public event listings, course descriptions and approved company listings before joining. An account opens the member directory, community discussions, Proposals and learning progress.
How do I book an event?
Open the event page and use its admission button. Current event bookings are handled by Eventfrog, which issues the ticket and confirmation. Some events are free and others have paid ticket options. An RSVP on a discovery platform does not replace the admission requirements shown on the event page.
Where and when do events take place?
Dates, times, venues and meeting points vary. Each event page shows its own confirmed details, directions and booking link. Times are shown in Zürich local time. Check that listing and your ticket before travelling; do not assume every event uses the same venue or schedule.
Can I come on my own or as a beginner?
You can come on your own or with a friend. FNZ welcomes questions and different experience levels; ZSM welcomes new faces. Read the event's programme for any preparation, equipment or specific requirements before booking.
Who can see member profiles and contact details?
Member identities and profiles are available only to signed-in platform members. Each member chooses whether to appear in the directory and which contact channels to share, including LinkedIn. Contact details stay private until that member opts in. Public company listings are a separate directory.
How can I suggest an activity?
Signed-in members can post an activity in Proposals. A love reaction adds two points, a like adds one, and a dislike subtracts one. Proposals can stay open or have a deadline. Organizers can turn a proposal into an event; reactions express interest and do not reserve a ticket.
What can I learn in the Academy?
The Academy contains courses on investing, trading, startups and practical AI. Course descriptions and selected lesson previews are public. A free account unlocks the lessons and saves progress. Educational content and community discussion are not personalized investment advice.
Can I discover or list a company?
The public company directory presents approved businesses connected with the community. Signed-in members can submit a business for review. Approval is required before a listing becomes public; the directory does not imply an investment recommendation or verification of a company's claims.
