In force since 8 October 2026.
Financial Network Zurich (FNZ) and Zürich Spontaneous Meetup (ZSM) are brands of The Swiss Standard by Alessandro Scire Calabrisotto, c/o Alessandro Scire Calabrisotto, Seebahnstrasse 121, 8003 Zürich, Switzerland, UID CHE-228.447.426 (“we”, “us”). Where these terms say FNZ, the contracting party is that business.
These terms apply when you use the platform, hold an account, or buy a ticket. If you do not accept them, do not use the platform. Full operator details are in the Impressum.
Membership is free. You must be 18 or older. One person, one account: accounts are personal and not to be shared or transferred.
Sign-in is passwordless — we email you a single-use link. Anyone with access to your mailbox can therefore sign in as you, so keep it secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. Keep the details on your profile accurate; other members rely on them.
Treat the room with respect. No harassment, discrimination, threats, doxxing, spam, scraping, or selling under false pretences. Do not present investment advice as if it were professional or personalised advice — nothing on this platform is financial advice, and the Academy is educational material, not a recommendation.
We may hide or remove content, lock a discussion, or suspend or close an account that undermines the above. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.
For events published on this platform, we are the organiser and the seller. A ticket is a personal permission to attend a specific event; it does not transfer any other right. Your contract for that ticket is with us.
Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). We are not registered for Swiss VAT, so prices contain no VAT and none is stated separately on your receipt. Winter FNZ bookings are handled through Eventfrog. Follow the admission instructions on each event, including where a complimentary ticket is required. If a future event offers native website checkout, the payment provider and price will be shown before you confirm.
Capacity is finite. If a tier sells out while you are paying, we will not issue a ticket and the payment is refunded in full.
Winter AI series: tickets are non-refundable unless Financial Network Zurich cancels the event. The available ticket options are shown on Eventfrog. Contact us about a cancellation using your booking confirmation.
If FNZ cancels: we refund the event ticket. If an event needs to move, contact us using your booking confirmation to discuss the options for that event.
Swiss law does not give a general right of withdrawal for online purchases, and none is granted here beyond what is stated above. Free RSVPs cost nothing; please release your place if you cannot come, so somebody else can take it.
FNZ events may also be listed on Meetup, Luma and LinkedIn. These listings help people discover the event; a free RSVP does not replace an Eventfrog ticket where one is required. For an FNZ-organized event, FNZ remains the organizer even when the booking is handled by an external provider. For other organizers’ events, consult the organizer and booking provider shown on that listing.
Some events may be offered on a pooled-cost basis: enough people commit, the event happens and everyone pays their share; not enough commit, and it does not happen and nobody pays. This feature is not currently offered. When it is, the following applies, and it will be restated at the point of commitment.
Committing authorises us to store your payment method with Stripe and to charge it once, later, without you being present — but only if the minimum number of participants is reached by the stated deadline, and never for more than the maximum amount shown to you when you committed. Nothing is charged at the moment you commit. If the minimum is not reached by the deadline, the commitment lapses, nothing is charged, and the stored payment method is released.
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute it within the platform, for as long as you keep it posted, so that we can run the service. Delete your content and that licence ends, apart from copies in routine backups.
Only post what you have the right to post. Photographs taken at events may show other members: do not upload an image of somebody who has asked you not to, and if you appear in a photo here and want it removed, email us and we will take it down.
Members may list a business in the directory. Listings are reviewed before publication, but a review is not an endorsement, a verification of any claim, or a recommendation to do business. You are responsible for what your listing says. We may decline or remove any listing.
This is a small, community-run platform. We do not promise uninterrupted availability and may change or withdraw features. We will not delete your account without cause, and if we close the platform we will give reasonable notice so you can retrieve what matters to you.
The platform is provided as it is. To the extent Swiss law permits, we exclude liability for slight negligence and for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profit, lost data and loss arising from decisions you take on the basis of anything published here. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury, for intent or gross negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
You attend events at your own risk and are responsible for your own conduct, and for getting home. We are not responsible for what other members say or do, on the platform or at an event.
How we handle personal data, and the rights you have over it, are set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
We may update these terms. The current version always lives on this page with its date. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you — by email or a notice on the platform — before it takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the new version. Tickets already bought are governed by the terms in force when you bought them.
Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is Zürich, Switzerland. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules — including any right to bring proceedings where you live.
If any provision is found invalid, the rest stays in force and the invalid provision is replaced by one that comes closest to its purpose.
